Best boardwalk style Hot Dogs! We started with a nice cold beer - I had blue moon and better half had Kona. For appetizer we shared fried zucchini with the horseradish sauce. It was hot, crunchy, and fresh. For the dogs, I had the Italian while he had the spicy jockey. They also have a kid’s menu. Service was great! We have been customers for years and will continue.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Max’s Hot Dogs, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! The hot dogs were delicious, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. I also tried the mozzarella sticks, which were recommended by the friendly bartender MK, and they were absolutely fantastic! Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside - just how I like them. The atmosphere was lively, the service was top-notch, and the food was simply amazing. I highly recommend stopping by Max’s Hot Dogs for a mouthwatering meal!
Such a sweet spot with retro decor and friendly service. The food is great! We tried a few different gourmet hot dogs and they were delicious! I recommend the New York style dog. Max's is a great place for dining with a family. It's relaxing there and we had a good time and a good meal. We'll be back in the summer!
Max’s is a Jersey Shore institution that has been part of family highlights on the beach for generations. They recently completely renovated the restaurant, which now features an industrial-style bar serving local craft beers from the area. Their foot-long hotdogs are still the centerpiece of the menu, along with fried mushrooms and fried zucchini. The menu now features a range of healthy options like salads and fancier choices like a lobster roll with homemade chips and a range of hotdog options with creative topping combos.
Having started coming to Max's in 1969, and having moved away in the late 70's, I always enjoy cunning back when I'm on town. They totally changed the establishment but kept a part of the place full of nostalgia, and most importantly, kept the hot dogs!! Staff was so very nice and can't wait to return again
Ordered the Mr. Max and my wife The New Yorker as well as onion rings. Dogs were great! Rings were delicious and crispy. We sat at the bar and the woman who waited on us was very personable and friendly. We were visiting from Maine. Would go back again!
Max’s is known for their delicious foot long hotdogs. However there’s more to the menu. The home made turkey burger is a hidden gem. The turkey burger is cooked to perfection. Each bite is a delightful blend of textures and flavorfuls, making it a must-try for anyone. My one and only complaint is that there’s no online ordering service available. I will definitely be frequenting this restaurant in the future, the 35 minute drive is worth it. The service was efficient, the waitress was lovely and kind. This place gets an A from me! :) ( I sat at the counter and my waitress was Michelle.)
